Afghanistan – Pakistan Track 1.5 & II Dialogues

Duran Research & Analysis, in partnership with a Pakistani organization The Center of Research and Security Studies (CRSS), launched an Afghanistan-Pakistan Track 1.5/ II initiative titled: “Beyond Boundaries” as part of an effort to help discuss relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Track-II dialogue functioned as an informal platform in regards to the Track I talks between the two governments, and implemented in close coordination with the Government of Afghanistan, and the Government of Pakistan, bringing together influential government and non-governmental stake-holders with insight in the relationship between the two countries; and eventually urged both governments and key stakeholders towards a more collaborative-based approach for peace, security, and regional cooperation.

This Track-II was comprised of two working groups; Regional Security Group and Regional Civil Society Group. The working groups addressed varied themes of security, trade and other issues that are important in the relationship between the two countries.
